CrossLands

Crosslands is a compact wallet card game built around one simple objective: move your Hero from the first Land to the final Land before your opponent does. The entire game fits into a 22-card deck—two Hero cards and a set of Lands that form a shifting path. It’s designed for fast sessions, quick setup, and clear decisions with zero filler.

Challenge & Solution

The challenge was to create tension and meaningful choices with extremely limited components. Instead of adding systems, I focused on the Land interactions: the path can change, positions can shift, and timing becomes the real strategy. Every Land is both “the board” and the mechanic—so players are always making small, tactical decisions that affect the race to the finish.

Final Result

The final result is a minimal, travel-friendly game that’s easy to learn, but still creates a competitive back-and-forth. With only 22 cards, Crosslands delivers a complete experience: a clear goal, constant pressure, and replayability through different Land arrangements and player choices.
